A TV tuner is a computer component that allows television signals to be received by a computer. Most TV tuners also function as video capture devices, allowing them to record television programs onto a hard drive.

i. an internal pcmcia tuner
ii. an external usb tuner

but before that u gotta decide internal pcmcia or external usb / firewire; both perform well, hauppauge & avermedia are good brands, but i guess the pcmcia tuners come without remote >

buy a video capture card if it is already in built then all u have to do is get the video wire and conect it to ur tv out the yellow plug and then to ur laptop. then using the correct software u can watch tv in laptop. same applies for computers also.

You can buy a PCMCIA tv tuner card or a USB one. Or you can check out the TVU player that has some channels you can watch. I think its pretty nice, and have watched football games on there and was happy with it. All you need is a broadband connection and thats all. go to best buy,radio shack,or circuit city and there is a thing that you can buy that goes with your internet connection that will let you watch tv on your lap wireless from anywhere but if you get anymore like free info about how to do it then e mail me and let me know thanks ~~~~good luck

use external tv tuner cord ... just cal to the customer care for further details regarding that ...
