It's just a rule somebody in Yahoo thought right. I think it is meant to stimulate answering, because if more questions are asked then answered this would be a boring site :)

But as you get 3 points back after you pick your best answer, in the end it only costs 2 points. Answer one question and ask one question at the same time then results in an even score.

The rule says u have to give five points for asking a question.
If u answer a question you get 2 points. Its like that. May be, Yahoo wants people to ask only good questions and discourage people from asking silly question. When you come to know that you are losing 5 points, you will think twice before writing a question.

This is the rule of Yahoo Answers.
If you ask a question your score is reduced by 5 points and if you answer a question it is increased be 2 points.

However, I think this is not a good logic, they should keep it some other way so that we can clear our most of the queries through the Yahoo Answers.

you have in basic terms merely all started .... you presently and back would desire to attend various days after answering a query extremely helpfully for that answer to be chosen as maximum suitable answer and that gets you 10 factors. in case you you ask a query 5 factors is taken out of your score. so which you will discover no you could actually get to point 2 in a pair of days. once you're at point 2 you could choose for countless maximum suitable solutions your self on others' unsure questions and that brings yet another factor for each you decide on for. YA is a exciting place to be, merely to make certain others' questions and solutions - delight in the form!

Unfortunately, that's the way the game works. Your best bet is to try to answer questions. Even though you get less points (2), you will still accumulate more points by answering instead of asking. Your goal should be to get a "best answer", that will increase your points by (10)... :)

Those are those rules - when you pick a best answer you get two or three points back. Check onto the rules and you can see how all the points are distributed.
