the only thing u cant do before 21 here in nz is rent a car. you also will get cheaper insurance on some things wen u turn 21.
you can drive at 15, vote,smoke and drink at 18 and gamble in the casino at 20

in my country (malta) nothing, i was able to drink and smoke when i was 16 , now i havee to wait till im 25 to get into a casiono. Anything else in life will be illegal forever ..... :(
i just remembered the over 21 clubs and u can rent a car as well.
it all depends ont the country
In italy u can drive a motorbike at 16

In some places, thats the age to rent a car. Some contests and promotions require that as well. Mainly its just drinking. Which also is what is the min age for a lot of bars so the bartenders don't have to card you inside too.

Actually, your car insurance rates will not go down based on age until you are 25 years old. In many cases, you cannot rent a car until you are 21 years old. But other than that, drinking is the big thing.

in my country (England) the only remaining significance of 21 is I can stnad for election to my local council and to Parliament. And I can sit beside a learner driver as a qualified person and i can drive a HGV. Everything else is permitted (if at all) at 18 or less.

Well I dont know about the USA but in the UK you can take LSD, not be prosecuted for having 7 Grammes or less of pot, you can sexually molest farm animals, interfere with yourself in public, refuse to attend Crown Court if you like, drink and drive, smoke opium, commit high treason if you are only messing about and marry you cousin.

Anal sex. That is illegal before the age of 21, but I don't know if that is just for gay couples or any couples.
Why do we make such a big deal about being 21?
P.S I just realsied hat they dropped the age of consenting to that to 18, and they tried to drop is to 16 but that was declined.

it used to be that you couldn't vote or get married without parental permission til 21, but that was changed in the 60's and 70's. so, there isn't much unless you are getting an inherritance, and then most of those start at 21
