If you don't want to do that, you can always go to a party. Almost the entire whole world celebrates my birthday.
Addendum: This is odd. Usually if you have at least 23 people answer with their birthdays, oneday will be shared by two. It has to do with probabilities.

i had a paid holiday at work on my birthday that year and i was allowed to take monday or friday or any day that week.
they did this so that the whole factory would not have to shut down for the extra holiday
(like we could have got new years eve but we didnt)
so i said i'm not going out of town,
i'll just take that tuesday that was my birthday.
i worked 2nd shift, and normally i would sleep late into the late morning, but this day i had the day off...
so i awoke early, turned on the news,
and it's a long story but you know the rest mostly
