THE PARTY BEFORE COMING TO POWER LOOKED VERY DISCIPLINED PARTY BUT AFTER GETTING POWER THEY BECOME CRAZY FOR SEAT AND POWER FOR THAT THE HAD FORGOTTEN THEIR AGENDAS ON THE BASIS THEY CAME IN POWER. THEIR ONE POINT FORMULA IN THE PAST ELECTION WAS TO GET THE POWER BY HOOK AND CROCK. THEY WERE CORRUPT IN ALL THE FIELDS AS SHOWN BY TEHLIKA EPISODE. NOW THEY ARE ON III RD PLACE AFTER COMMUNIST PARTY IN THE COMING ELECTION.

Not many people like the BJP, because the minorities don't agree with its Hindutva ideology. It's not really a secular party.
Of course, all political parties indulge in minority-appeasement when election time approaches.

I think you are talking about the former ruling party in India with its hindu fundamentalist manifesto. It had lost its way before it started when it was founded on such communalist grounds and principles of hatred. It won election only by decieving people into feeling insecurity feeling threatened by a small minority and on hating all other religions. This party and its allies have mastered the fine art of controlling people by fanning hatred. This is the easiest time proven way of controlling people ( as shown by hitler and others) but does not live lasting legacy.

It is a case of weak leadership with young brigade fighting for control of power. A situation similar to when britishers took over India because the Indian kings and states were busy fighting amongst themselves. In short in this situation a party ripe for disintegration since here takeover does not look possible.

Assume you are talking about the right-wing Hindu political party in India. I think most rational and secular people never liked them to begin with.
