Wow your getting them that cheap. It cost me 24$ for five disc. Yes they will play on your DVD player if it is a high-end DVD player and a newer one. By high-end I mean a name brand like Pioneer, RCA, and so on. Also make sure your DVD burner takes dual layered, not all do. They are more expensive because they hold nearly 8 GB of content. Instead of the 4.75 GB of normal DVD's.

yeah if your player plays burned dvds and they are so high b/4 you can get single layer disc say 25 for 20 welll dual layer your getting double so does the price and for the simple fact if you want to burn like a moie from block buster or something they don't fit on your average 120min disc so you have to have dual layer or have aprogram that makes them fit but the quality on these usually kinda sucks but a new trick I've learned to bypass all that is download something say from limewire and if you use a program like nero or something like it instead of burning to a dvd burn it to a data cd and it holds a lot more and usually the entire movie so try that and you won't have to pay for dual layer disc and you also don't have to spend 50 plus bucks on a program that shrinks dvds ~~~Good Luck
