it is best to talke this question to the manufacturer of the computer. that, or check out www.newegg.com. that website will help you find out if it will fit by putting in your model number. yes, 2x 512MB = 1GB, but the laptop takes a certain kind of RAM, not just any old 512 stick. that's why i said that you should check it out with your manuf. if you want to talk to somebody who could give you a more direct answer that is based on your actual situation, take the laptop to your local bestbuy or circuit city and they will help you figure it out. they will even help you purchase your RAM.

Yes, if the 512MB memory sticks are the same frequency AND it doesn't exceed the capacity of the computer. If your max memory is 784MB, that's all that will register and be usable.
