I am a healthy, pretty 35 year old woman with two young boys.I live a very busy life and clean all day and night (clean freak) so I am on Paxil for that. But for some reason I feel like when I am expected to have sex, it is just one more chore to do before bed...does anyone else feel this way? I have had other men turn me on and I am seperated but I can go with or without...what is wrong with me, and NO I do not like other woman. Please help

Many antidepressants reduce labido in women, I don't know if Paxil does. I know Lexapro does.

It could very well be the Paxil that is one of the side effects.But it could be that you just are not connecting with your lover in that way. If you feel like you just have to do it and it's a chore then don't there is not a thing wrong with not having s#x. So take your time do it when you are ready.

Hey, you know what? I know exactly how you feel. And guess what.. I'm only 22!! I have 2 children and I work during the day. When i get home, I've to prepare dinner. So at night, all I want is some peaceful, quiet time to rest. Trust me, it's normal. We're just tired women, going through daily routine. Try this - Take some time off, spend the evening at a beach with your husband only. Do not think of anything else, other than your husband and what you love about him. And believe me, it will get you all hyped up for love that night! I've tried and tested. Do it often!!

that is the beauty of being a women we can do with or without not like men who need it all the time and you have to think you are a mom your not single and a newly wed so it isn't the only thing on your mind also cleaning all day and night as far as I'm concerned that is a full time job and nobody wants to do it after a long hard day at work trust me I don't have kids I'm 23 and I feel like that all the time I work and then come home and cook and clean and then when it is time to get down I'm like do we have to not like it isn't good it's just like uggggggggggggg I don't know how to explain it but I'm sure you catch my drift o well who wants to give it up every night then they get used to it and that aint no fun they should wait at least two or three days that way it is a lot better and not the same thing everyday that is why men get board and start looking around I have my man eating out of the palm of my hand cuz he sure aint getting it every night but it used to be like that when we first hooked up and we aren't even married so don't feel bad every women goes through this just leave us along and turn the tv to lifetime lol ~~~have a good one

You should be talking to your Doctor about this problem. It could be many things up to including medical reasons. Your Doctor should be consulted first to rule out possible medical reason. Doctor might refer you to consoling.
You seem to be doing everything except stuff for you. You need to have a chore called you and take one or two hours per day for yourself. It isn't that hard. Your to busy thinking you have to do this and that.
What your doing is not as important has taking time for yourself. The material things can wait. You cant

You may just n eed the 'right' man to really turn you on and make you feel GOOD. I dated a girl for a while that wasn't into it much... don't touch my boobs, I can't get off during intercourse, etc etc and on and on. CHanged her mind on all don'ts and can'ts within a couple months and SHE was the one that turned out wanting it more than me (few times a week and I'm good to go).
It should be a time to relax and let go - take mind off of ANY problem.. apparently it isn't intense enough to do that for you. When someone does take it up to that level, I figure you will desire it more, once again.

Look into that...
And do you think you could be suffering any other illness like depreshion?
Than take horney goat weed or wild for women...to give u more energy and increase libedo.
Than get yourself a vibe...and use it like even in the bath a water proof one.
The more you get the more you want....normaly the case.

Hey im just about to get married, and reading that scares me...i really dont wanna go thru that. but then again iv read so many books (yes im really nervouse about getting married, what if i cant handle it??) the only advise i can give you is that give yourself a break...do stuff for yourself, give cleaning a miss, and go visit a SPA, pamper yourself....maybe you'kll start feeling like a woman you were at the age of 25....

I'd start with the Paxil, they don't make brain chemistry drugs that don't have sexual side effects. Paxil's pretty notorious about it. Tell your doctor you're not feeling interrested in Sex and you're worried it might not be normal for you.

nothing..you just are content where you are at in life...taking care of your boys is more important than getting laid, maybe if a guy came along that you actually fell for it would be different, I mean emotionally not fall phyically..and there is nothing wrong with being neat..it is nice to hear, so many people are so messy and sloppy these days. again if you had someone to spend time with that would take your mind off cleaning, maybe you would be a little less in need of Paxil
