Yes, I think it is workable provided they have a chance to expand it outside of a online relationship.

All my relationships started online first and because I am aware tha people may only present a different side of themselves online, I have always been careful to make sure I meet this person.. interact with him on a one to one basis and watch him interact with others before we get together.

The one time I have not been able to do that and got together with someone before I had a chance to meet and understand him in person, the relationship ended and landed me in the deepest despair of my life.

Cos my online ex boyfriend had failed to let me know that he is married.. with 7 children... until we were together and only some time after we really met up..

But my current husband and me started online as well. A mutual friend introduced us via email as he was studying overseas at that time.. we talked over email everyday.. when he came back, we go to know each other in person and found that he was congruent with his emails and before long, we got together, got married and now have a cute 14 month old son ;)

No.
I have been trying more than two years to meet someone I would really like; I finally met someone on-line with whom I came very close; unfortunately when we met in person, the magic was gone!...
I think that chatting on-line is quite different than chatting in person. Anonymity and distance make you feel safer and more at ease; they disappear in person.

I don't have any faith in internet dating. I would much rather meet someone at a singles meeting than over the internet.

No...
I don't see how anyone can be in love with someone they've never seen face-to-face. But that's just my opinion.
