The reason I choose not to allow people to contact me is because I may leave an answer and someone may not like the truth that I am giving them and then they send a nasty message because they didn't want to hear the truth. Everyone is not looking for friends on here...Some are looking for enemies and I am not one to let someone say something disrespectful to me and I do not respond back.
If I could be guaranteed that people would be friendly, then I would have no problem with allowing people to contact me via e-mail. But a lot of past experiences have taught me to block out that part because people get upset when you tell them something they don't want to hear and then they attack YOU personally.

I believe, because, this is a forum for answering and asking questions. Some people may want to make a friendship, but not all people are interested in chatting. Some people may not have time for internet friendships...But for me personally, I have it so that people can't IM/e-mail me because I don't know who's all on here. Could be some lil kid, or some old man! Or someone who just wants to harass me due to the questions I've asked or the answers I've givin. And my mail/IM space could be used for a lot better people. Plus, nobody has asked to contact me. :)

I wonder the same thing Dune it is very rare that someone will contact me after I answer their questions and sometimes I do put email me at BlueSueder8706@aol.com or AIM me at BlueSueder8706 but very rarely does anyone reply I hate it too! Blue

You may right but it has been observed that most of the people don't tell a true story about themselves on the web and there is no way to judge this. I am also looking good friends throughout the world but could not find good one. you may write me at mrs509eb@yahoo.com with your complete introduction and reference of yahooanswers. Thanks.
