Try:

The Strange Laws of Old England by Nigel Cawthorne.
ISBN: 0749950366

I'm not sure how many have not been repealed, but its good for a laugh.

Synopsis
A fun and fascinating tour of the by-ways of British legal history. Did you know that the law requiring a London taxi driver to carry a bale of hay on top of his cab to feed the horse was in force until 1976? Or that Welshmen are not allowed in the city of Chester after dark? Nigel Cawthorne has unearthed an extraordinary (and sometimes hilarious) collection of the most bizarre and arcane laws that have been enacted over the centuries. Some of which, incredibly are still in force! It is still illegal to enter the Houses of Parliament in a suit of armour?

In the 1960's the Labour government in Britain had a sweep of many redundant laws and removed them from the statute book including a fine for not going to church.
One ancient law still in force is offending public decency. The curious thing is that no offence is committed unless more than one person sees the alleged act. If only one witness is present no offence has been committed.

I'm positive I've seen some in the comedy section of waterstones. I brought one once that said it is OK to shoot a welsh man with an arrow in Hereford as long as it's on a Sunday. I think the book also said that it is illegal to wear a hat in a pub. Hope this helps.

Like the English law which still says that taxis must keep a bale of straw to feed the horse.

Or if you need to relieve yourself when you are in a vehicle, that it is permissable to do so outside and against the rear offside of the vehicle.

Really good question! When we had a miners strike here in UK they used laws dating back to the 14th century to break the will of guys who were only fighting for the right to work - not more pay, it was payback for the fact their actions had removed a tory - right wing - administration in the past - always the past will come back at you
