i loved it....i'd play with all my toys, after awhile, my mom would come tell me my time out was over and i'd just say "that's okay, i'm fine here...." and keep playing, funny thing was, she kept sending me to my room...o well!

obviously it is our sanctuary from the rest of the world. although i did like the solitude of the quiet and stillness my room brought me i think in a way that was what my mom was trying to achieve. while i was sent away i did a lot of thought and reflection while in there. my mother eventually decided this was no punishment and quit using it as such. but in the long term i discovered much about myself

Nope because my mom made sure my TV, phone and stereo, etc. were taken out of my room.

I dont have my own room but when I was young & did something wrong my parents would ground me like no going out with friends for a week or something like that, that was bad.

When I was growing up, a youngster's bed room was not the arcade it is now. There was a bed, a dresser, a closet, and your clothes. No, I did not ENJOY being sent to my room!

Absolutely. My books were there, and I was an only child, so there was pretty much nothing to do anywhere else in the house anyways.

MY Grandparents were very over-protective. I spent a lot of time in my room anyway, so that tactic didn't work with me.
