There were well over a thousand respectful peaceful protesters at ground zero on monday, and more in washington dc and pennsylvania, yet the media entirely ignored them and refused to acknowledge their presence. Ironically the previous day a few news outlets reported about 350 people in california protesting for 'more rights for illegal immigrants"... WTF!? 5 years after 9/11 about 50% of the populace support a new REAL investigation into the attacks, including the largest organization of 9/11 victims families. Why is the media ignoring this?

Some of you must be stricken with a severe learning disability. I Pointed out the lack of media attention to the ground zero protests, which lasted all weekend and monday - and then questioned why they would give attention to 350 measly illegals protesting for more rights. Jesus, can;t you read?

TO PROVIDE EVEN MORE CLARITY - THE ILLEGALS WERE AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PROTEST WHICH WAS HARDLY NEWSWORTHY, WHILST THE PROTEST AT GROUND ZERO WHICH WERE IGNORED WERE LARGE SCALE ABOUT LAUNCHING A NEW INVESTIGATION INTO 9/11.

The media is not interested in stirring up agression towards itself, and it realizes that anything but very light coverage of such a protest would stir up trouble with 'sanctity' of the holiday. Suggestions of a real investigation on 9/11/06 would immediately be painted as disrespect for the lives lost by those who would rather the case be laid to rest. Networks are businesses. They act in their own self-interest.

It would only be a guess but I would think with 911 being one of the most traumatic events to happen to this country the focus was on the loss, the hope and where we are now. I wholeheartedly believe in the right to protest, and I believe that they got high visual exposure from the locals, but, it was not the story of the day.

Uh, it is not about 50% of the population who believe the conspiracy theorists--more like 16%. And a rememberance day like 9/11 was yesterday is about the VICTIMS--they are the focus of that day. We remember that they died horrible deaths and that it was a very sad day for our country. Respect the dead on one day and let the media show all the protestors on the other 364 days of the year.

I'm glad the media didn't give attention to protestors on Sept. 11, 2006. That was a day to remember those who lost their lives, not for protestors to view their opinions on the war. They should have gone to "The White House" for that. Those people should have had more respect for those who lost their lives. I'm sure their families would have asked for the same in return if it had happened to them.

Even the worst media outlets aren't going to acknowledge the American government orchestrated the 9-11 attacks. Stick to The Simpsons and reality tv for your entertainment.

It wasn't the time or place to protest about anything. It was to remember the innocent people who died that day!!

Well, gee! We don't care about protesters or the freakin' immigrants!
PEOPLE DIED IN THOSE TRADE TOWERS! A LOT OF HISTORY WAS LOST IN THOSE TOWERS. A LOT OF OUR TRADE (NOTE THE NAME TRADE CENTERS) WERE LOST IN THEM AS WELL. America has fought toooo long, and tooo hard for this land.
We care more about our hard working, standard breed of Americans not immigrants who only come to harm our country.
