i am a Christian, but my best friend is a devout Muslim and he is disgusted with the bad name others are giving him in the "name of Allah" which Allah is the same as my God I worship.

Islam may be a religion, but it's also part of a civilization as different to ours as the cave men were. Muslims have grown up in a world that hasn't changed in 200 years, except to take in the benefits of our civilization: modern cars, electricity etc. Naturally that brings feelings of inferiority, which are then converted to hatred and aggresion, much like the bully who terrorizes the intelligent kid he secretely feels inferior to. This is why you see the behavior that Westerners can not understand: the beheadings, suicide bombers who revel in killing children, the terrorist in the London plot who was going to sacrifice her own child in order to blow up a plane full of civilians. Unless the West begins to understand this, we risk being run over by this ruthless, barbarian fascism.

Don’t feel special. It is in the nature of all zealots to take their religion to its most base level. Christianity can match Islam butthead-for-butthead any day of the week, and twice on Sundays. Religiously obsessed people are, at their very core, scared, angry, stupid, hateful, and violent people. The only thing that stops them from committing mass-murder on a societal scale is opportunity.
America has its share, like the KKK, neo-Nazis, right-wing whackos like Timothy McVeigh, but historically, the fact that the US was founded as a secular government has, for the most part, kept the violent tendencies of the American religious-right in check. Today however, America is under attack from within as Christian hate groups try (all too successfully) to seize political position and power from the local to the national levels.
The only reason America’s scum Christians are not exactly the same as Islam’s scum Muslims is that they do not have the political or military strength they so desperately want. George Bush is doing everything in his power to let them through the door, although in his defense, he is too stupid and unaware to be a willing accomplice.
Make no mistake, it is an ideological war struggling to be a full-blown blood war.

well christians have killed for the sake of it, history is full of religious persecution. about christians who still do i am not so sure but it is possible in lesser developed countries this could be the case. there are evil people in all societies. As for the middle east according to research males there have higher levels of testosterone and so are prone to be more aggresive

Religious zealots are the bane of all faiths. I consider myself a spiritual being and would never have anything to do with any religion. I don't mean to offend anyone but I feel that "Religion" is one of the greatest evils on this planet. It kills. It kills big time.

Few "moderate"muslim are indeed peace loving- on the surface. But fundamentalist muslim is a violent opressive cruel demonic monster created by a homicidal maniac and pedophile named mohammed under the influence of antichrist.
God, the Father of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior is a three part intity; Father, Son, Holy Spirit. The spirit, whom islam calls allah, that rules islam is a singular spirit who denies the Lordship of Jesus Christ. nuff said.
