You can have C-section if you want without ant reason- you call it Elective C-section.
Just wondering though why you think about it? Well, it will make you to avoid the pain of labors by having an elective C-section but pain after operation will "compensate" it The first 3 days after operation is just so terrible, the discomforts are just so disgusting . Plus, having c-section, you have to think that it is an invasive surgery.
Having normal delivery if possible is the best. Though you will go through lots of pain- really a great painful experience but if you fear such severe pain you can your doctor about "painless labor". But really if you will pass through the labor and successfully deliver, all the pains will be gone- though there might be pain to some degree from uterine contractions and episiotomy (vaginal incision). The first cry of your baby you will hear is so fantastic and really it makes difference and will help you to be relieved from all the pains you had. Goodluck!.

I dont think so unless you baby is in distress when you're admitted or becomes in distress because of the contractions after being induced. At 41 weeks I was admitted thinking that I was about to be induced because of extremely low amniotic fluid that was noticed that morning during my fetal assesment. I was admitted about an hour later and come to find out my doctor said that I was gonna have to have a c-section because the baby would be under to much stress with the contractions and not much aniotic fluid around her...So basically if your're in good health it all depends on baby whether or not you will have a c-section.

Just stick with being induced. I was induced with my 1st and then ended up having a c-section and the pain after the c-section is worse and lasts a lot longer than if yu just have the baby naturally. Being induced isn't that bad. It is the same as going into labor on your own, just faster. It will all be worth it in the end. Good luck!

You must have never had a c-section before if you actually want one.
While vaginal delivery is very painful (albeit very tolerable with the help of an epidural or narcotics, if you choose to use them) the pain is gone immediately after birth. What many people fail to realize is that a c-section (although very common and safe) is still MAJOR SURGERY. They're cutting not only into your skin, but also through your abdominal muscles and into your uterus. I had a vaginal birth with child #1 and a c-section with child #2, and I hope to God if I have any more children they will be born vaginally. Cutting through your abdominal muscles HURTS. You don't realize just exactly how much you use them until you have a section.
If you truly do want to have one (and your doctor OKs it) please think of me saying "I TOLD YOU SO!" as you're doing any kind of movement that uses your ab muscles (getting into bed [or trying to, rather], sitting down in a chair, standing up from a chair, sitting down on the toilet, taking stairs, etc.).

You should of talked to your doctor first. I have too beautiful children and they were both born by c-section, mine was not planned with the first but the second it was.I went into actual labor with my son I left our home at 8 am and by 9:45 pm i had only dialated a total of 3 centimeters. So the doctor came in to talk with me and my husband, he told us he would like to do an emergency c-section but it was up to us. I had decided to do the c-section and thank god i did his umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck four times. But every birth is different. I would not reccomend a c-section they are very painful after you come home from the hospital. If i did not have my husband here with me i don't know how i would of ever made it. yes the birth is alot faster than a vaginal. But this is a decision you have to make. Good luck to you! and congrats on the new bundle of joy.........They are so beautiful and they bring new joys to your life everyday.

They probally will not do a c-section without a good reason, and besides that you don't want one they hurt like hell after the fact. If this is you first baby you are probally scared and that is normal but it will be fine. Childbirth hurts but it is an experience that is worth every minute of it when it is all said and done. Why are they inducing are past due are something? Good luck.

Why cannot u ask ur dr. about it. A dr. has the responsibility to
tell u. cannot drive u in darkness. Inducing does not mean u should go c-section. Recent research say that C-section is better
than normal for various reasons for mother's and child's health.

you would rather live the rest of your life with a scar than do things the natural way, where everything goes right back to normal??? Let nature take its course. I agree. Why put your baby in unnecessary danger unless it is medically necessary? You worked a long 9 months to grow that baby, let it come out the way that it wants to come out. And if you had wanted this as an option, you should have discussed this with your doc long before now.

There has been a lot of talk about this lately and more and more Dr's are starting not doing this. it would be up to the Dr's I guess. I would not want to have one. I was very lucky not to have one. But all the best with the birth either way.

coming from someone who has had three c-sections if its not n emergency don't do it especially if you don't have anyone who will be able to cater to you for the next two weeks you will be very sore and you will barely be able to sit up by yourself so i recommend that you push it out and get the pain over with
