Both Clinton's are moderates within the Democratic Party. In the case of Hillary, she is doing two things, building a public record that will withstand a Republican attack if she runs for President, and increasing her perceived power, making her a more formidable force in the Senate and the political process. As for what she is saying and doing, its not that far from where she comes from politically and philosophically.
All politicians who aspire to the Presidency move to toward the center to obtain support and votes. In the case of Hillary, she's move only slightly to the right and is steering that course. In her case, she needs to be careful during the primary season. If she moves left to secure the Democratic base in the primaries, she runs the risk of providing Republicans ammunition . If she moves too far right, she'll lose support among factions of the Democratic Party she needs both for the primaries and general election.
Take a look also at John McCain. Right now, he's dancing with the conservative and religious right portion of the Republican Party. He's moved to the right and praised some folk he roundly criticized when he ran for President in 2000. He needs to shore up support from that portion of the party. He'll continue to do that until the 2008 primaries. After that, he'll move more to the left to broaden support among undecided and independent voters.
Its all a carefully orchestrated game. We, as the audience are the ones being played. by both parties.

Hillary Clinton is trying to appear more conservative in order to win over middle-of-the-road voters when she runs for her next political office. She is extremely ambitious and has not changed her political beliefs and ambitions for one second. Would any American in their right mind want someone as radical as she to be President? And Heaven forbid, that Bill Clinton be the First Gentleman where we could once again be the laughing stalk of the world and have to deal with his inability to keep his parts in his pants?!

Both parties tend to be centrists during elections because they are the bulk of the voters. Yes, Hillary has moved to the center. I still plan on voting for her if she runs for president. Shes a brilliant woman that knows her stuff and I think she wont put up with any BS while in office. I pity the fool/country that dares to harm America or its citizens anywhere. This woman is as tough as brass knuckles. Plus, it will put Bill back in the White House as well. Hopefully between the 2, they can bring this country back to its former status's in the world and bring security to its people.

She's running in NY ... a blue state...
And it's HIGHLY doubtful (despite media speculation) that she'll run for the '08 nominee.
I think if she seriously had her mind set on that... President Clinton wouldn't have said to Larry King last time he was on (regarding Hillary running) "Wouldn't Karl Rove just love that?"

First, according to most of the local and national polls few conservatives will be winning anything this fall.
Second, while I'll admit I've never liked Hillary, you can hardly call her a liberal. She votes liberal on some issues and conservative on others. Like Bill, they balance out to be moderates.

She's acting like the Dems will lay down and give her the nomination like they did in New York. If she has it wrapped up, then grab the middle while the GOP tries to out conservative each other.

Try as she might and as she has.... she is still known as the RED Queen....
She could join the Republican Party and she still would be a loser....
New York is not an indicator of much... its citizens elected the lying beecha, didn't they? And they are stupid enough to do so again, aren't they? Say it ain't so.....
