Greyhound leaves about 4 times a day from PACIFIC CENTRAL STATION, 1150 STATION STREET. Cost is $115

Trains leave from the same place for $135.

well you can dive. Just get on the #1 and keep going.
you can go on the bus. its cheap.
the best way is to go by train, but it is expensive.
both greyhound and via rail offer student discounts if that helps.
you do realize that the rockies aren't close to Vancouver right? It's like a day and half to get there!

I would suggest renting a car if you have a licence and feel comfortable with that, otherwise you could take the train. On this website you can select which town you want to visit (leaving from Vancouver) and see how much it will cost.

By Greyhound bus to Banff, AB it's about $230 (round trip).

You could also take a tour by motorcoach:

I recommend the train. It leaves downtown Vancouver and goes through the rockies. Driving a rental car is a good way too, but harder to sit back and take in the scenery.
