Does a house that enables cable T.V. as with Life-time, and many channels.........can that be considered a HOT SPOT as like at the airport? At the airport, someone could plug-in a laptop and get connected to the internet (if that person has the correct settings for that purpose).

Please respond.

ADD: Whole situation: I'm going out of state visiting my parents, who have cable TV. I want to take my laptop , to show-off what I can do, connect to the internet, and be protected. Do I need to find a wireless connected that will work many, many miles away from my current address? Maybe I'm making more of this----than what it is, but I want to have the laptop working, connected to the internet when I'm away. So, what I'm TRYING to do, all my life, is to do my homework to make sure that my goal is reached.

a hot spot occurs when certain frequency's are used not all frequencies do this mainly the type used on cell phones and cordless phones and some radios the only frequency in the cable

A hot spot has to do with weather or not you can receive a wi-fi Internet connection. It has absolutely nothing to do with cable television reception. If you are talking about receiving Internet through a coaxial cable talk to your service provider and see if it is possible.
hope i have helped

Cable TV alone won't do it. You can subscribe to cable internet, if it's available in your area, and buy a wireless router (maybe the cable company will provide one).
