I want to play games, but it doesnt have to be the latest or hottest card
minimum memory?
any features it should definitely support?

By the DVD card it is newer and has better features.

Also, no need to ever rewind.

Shop around for memory and good definition. The hardware is being upgraded all the time. If you have a computer shop ask then what they think.

You are right not to go with the latest or hottest. Most hardware manufactured in recent years has good capabilities.

Also, if you have access to trade magazines look for product reviews.

Try nvidia. Wal-mart sells some decent ones under 100. There 128mb and can handle majority of games. I recomend staying away from ATI cards, unless you like buying 6-9 cards a year. Not to mention all ati cards have issues with about 35% of the games.

Check out newegg.com. you dont have to buy from here but they have alot of cool stuff. Check out their videocards and customer ratings on them. Very helpful info. I usually look at newegg then see if a local store has em for almost the same price but usually newegg is cheaper.

try geforce 6600gt 256 mb available both in AGP and PCI-E version. it is priced around $100.

try this card you can play most of the games of today.
b'coz i got the same card and almost i play all the games of today.

kind of slot....(PCI-e or AGP., PCI-e is 2x faster than AGP 8x)
memory of the video card...
