If 96 bucks is their minimum charge you did not get ripped off. He may have been lucky and just stumbled on the problem right off the bat. He did not sell you any parts that you did not need. He did not hem and haw around and try to make the labor rate higher by spending time doing nothing and the most important thing is he fixed your problem which you would have willingly paid much more to get fixed if that is what it took to fix it.
You can look at it in another way. How much experience and training did it take for him to know that that is what was wrong with the A/C? You could have gotten another technician that would have taken a half hour to find and repair the problem and would have been elated that the problem was solved without needing parts or more labor cost.

Most AC repairmen charge a flat rate just to come out this runs from about $90.00 and up pending on how many units you have at your house.
Sounds like it was simple repair and he only charged you the diagnostic fee so that's fair.
Sorry to give you the bad news

if yall are young, trust me he doesn't care...TRUST me if yall are somewhat older, than he may have gotten a preference for the shaven, but i wouldn't say it's a deal breaker unless he's hyper superficial chill out. hair down there isn't that bad, but it preferable you at least keep it maintained hah 70s porn style bushes are a thing of the past, just like leisure suits. most guys will also begin to "manscape" as they get older too. it's just not good looking when you let it go all wild having said that though, missing a few spots here and there is hardly on the regular guys mind

They usually get about 75.00 an hour and then they charge for what they do on top of that. It is very expensive.

you should have a invoice?
what does it say on the invoice?
labor?
parts?
I guess there shoudn;t be any labor if it only took 5 minutes?
depending what he replaced
but I doubt it would be $96

the way America works, quick and easy profits, you need to watch out,
