InPhonic is one of the largest online cell phone vendors. http://www.inphonic.com/wlnphome.asp?referringdomain=wirefly&refcode1=&refcode2=CorpSite&eid=. You can find the latest model cell phones some times free of charge (after rebates) if you sign up at least one year contract through them. They sell plans for all major cell phone service providers (Sprint, TMobile etc.)

However, InPhonic is known for making the rebate process difficult. You will have to send the rebate forms at an specified time window and they take a long time to process (even though the rebate form says 8-10 weeks). The Washington DC Better Business Bureau is currently compiling a case against them.

If you do decide to buy from them, my suggestion is that you keep very good record of your rebate process. Make a copy of all the paper you sent, keep track of the dates, status and all communication/correspondence. Continuously communicate with them, so they know that you are not going to forget about your rebates. If you have the patience and diligence to follow up, you will ended up with a really good phone for little or no money.

TigerDirect.com is another source. They have all the same "slowness" problem with their rebate deals.

Best of luck.

I love phonescoop.com but they don't sell phones there. They will tell you everything about your phone even who provides service for it. Forums so you can talk to other people who have owned it.

It says it's not available from any major U.S. carriers.
