I hunt and did feel remorse the first few times but you get over it. I could definitely not murder without remorse, in fact I probably could not murder at all.--

No, I don't feel remorse but I do feel a lot of respect for the deer. Anyone who eats meat has someone else kill animals on their behalf, so I shouldn't feel any more remorse than people who get their meat from supermarkets. If hunting made people more inclined to kill people, then areas with a lot of hunters would have high muder rates. Obviously that's not the case, it tends to be the big cities where murders take place.

I am and always have been a hunter . I was raised hunting and I'm also a taxidermist. And yes there are times when it bothers me, I do not like a animal to suffer in anyway. I happen to be the biggest mush when it comes to animals. I will even pull insects out of a spiders nest because I feel bad. But on the other hand animals are a natural resource for us human beings, we should respect them and care for them. It is OK to pursue them it is natural , if we didn't do this for thousands of years ago nobody would be here now. I own 4 dogs and they all live in the house with me, I love animals. I started my taxidermy business because I wanted to represent animals how they were, and I never wanted to waste any part of them. I plant crops for them , I have three feeders for them, but I know what happens when they get to populated and mother nature thins them out with disease. Disease is far more sinicle than man. granted there are some real jackazzes out there hunting, but there are also alot of good people who spend thousands opon thousands of dollars every year for wildlife. Realestate, biology, economy, donations, taxed dollars from hunting does 100 times more for wildlife then any anti-hunting organization ever will, thats a fact. And no it doesn't mean murder, it is called harvesting the same as mining, farming, and logging. I will tell you what puts more pressure on wildlife than anything is developement. Wildlife lose more space day by , minute by minute and is permenant damage, unlike the harvest number set anually by your states wildlife agencies. Thank you for your interests in the animals , I'm a hunter and have the same interests in keeping them with us forever.

I quit hunting for that reason. Yes, I know cows, pigs, etc. are slaughtered for my benefit but I am not there to witness it. Deer, elk, etc. are magnificent animals and it began to bother me killing them. Sounds like I am a wuss but I'm not. I continue to take hikes in the mountains (especially Wyoming) and enjoy taking in nature. If I want meat I just go to the local grocery store.
As far as murder, I could not just murder someone but I have no problem taking someone out when it comes to self-protection and that would be true for an animal as well. I don't think it would upset me at all. However, I live in the Metropolitan New Orleans area and murder is common here.
