I am looking for any suggestions on sites, people to talk to, places to go, options, I am running out of them. Our place is gonna be more than just a pet store, it is gonna be like a humane society, a non kill one. We are also looking for places to go for cheap pet supplies. All ideas welcomed.

Contact the SCORE chapter in your area..'Service Core of Retired Executives'.. they will mentor you to build a good business plan that can be presented to bankks, etc.. they will teach what you need to know to get funding..Often, your chamber of commerce can tell of any members of SCORE in your area..Otherwise, you can find them on line..using the name of your county in the search..

Hi Melinda, Have you gone to a bank about a business loan? If not,try there. After you get your business going,Let people know you are a no kill humane society,and ask for donations to keep your H.S. going. You will be surprise how much people really care about abuse animals, and the ones not abuse.Try the internet for cheap pet supplies,theres all kinds to choice from.Good Luck on your great human society, and keep caring about animals.
