He was arrested in El Paso, Texas for suspicion of smuggling heroin from Mexico and received a suspended sentence. He was arrested for trespassing in Starkville, Mississippi for picking flowers on private property...probably for June Carter. That is where the song "Starkville City Jail" came from on the live album At San Quentin Prison. He was never in Folsom prison and probably didn't serve long down here in Mississippi.
