Subcutaneous are just under the skin, so the best places are the back of upper arm or anywhere on the abdomen. Rotating sites cuts down on soreness.

Intramuscular can be given in the large muscle groups. The deltoids (Upper arm), the thigh Top or side, and the hip (closer to the buttocks).

Intamuscular: Most common: Ventro gluteal (hip)
Vastus Lateralis (thigh)
Deltoid (arm)

It is very important to know the exact sites, as nerve damage can be caused in some cases.
