If your Palm device is Bluetooth enabled, and your computer or local network is also Bluetooth enabled, they can communicate which each other, and will allow various activities, including browsing the Web.

If your Palm is Bluetooth enabled, but your computer is not, you can purchase a small USB Bluetooth device (retails for about $40) which will enable your computer with Bluetooth.

The process is fairly simple. I use the Palm LifeDrive which has built-in WiFi and Bluetooth, and it works great.

The PDA using Bluetooth to connect to a Bluetooth-enabled computer to share internet access with that computer. The connection is made by creating a PAN (personal area network) between the PDA and the computer in the similar way as wi-fi enabled PDA and wi-fi enabled computer create a LAN (local area network) between them.
