I know Schumacher is clinical on the race track...but when other drivers were asked what they think of Michael retiring all of them did not want him to retire. And when asked what memories they have with him...I was amazed that through the stories they've told they presented Schumi as this guy who is nice and friendly to them...especially to Fisichella who I might note is Alonso's team mate. So with this persona in mind I think Schumi might have bend the rules but I don't think he is an unsporting driver --- I believe that's just the nature of the sport---going all out just to win the race.

No, Schumacher is between the full human beings in F1 in the present day. His figures tell that he's superb. And schumi isn't that form of a guy or woman. And Michael will supply respond at next race. i think of alonso would desire to apologise abt this.

I didn't hear Alonso comments so I am speaking on conjecture but Scjumi has done a number of things in his history that are just plain cheating. I have never heard or noted these similar accusations about any other F1 drivers, maybe because they never got caught, maybe because they never really capitalized on their cheating. I partially blame the FIA for this because if they had imposed much stiffer penalties then they probably could have put a stop to it much earlier. Based on some of the penalties that nascar has doled out in the past to people who are guilty of premeditated cheating (as opposed to the spur of the moment personal attacks that drivers perform on each other) they probably would have banned him from racing for a time, given much heavier fines, and /or stripped points or championships if there had been such a history of incidents.

He's being a bit petulant and, even though there is a ring of truth in some of what he said, he'll probably regret it at some stage.
Interestingly enough, good old Flavio Briatore backed away from the remarks/accusations he made when Alonso was demoted from fifth to 10 on the starting grid at Monza; claimed what he said was taken out of context. The fourth estate often hear that .

Schumacher twice tried to deliberately wreck another driver to win the championship by keeping a small lead in the last race of the year. Once he succeeded, once he failed. He has had a teammate pull over to give him a win, maybe more than once. At Monaco, he deliberately stalled his car on the track to stop others from beating his qualifying time. For that one he actually got punished.
He's a great driver, but surely not a sportsman. It would have been fun to see him in NASCAR, he'd have made Tony Stewart look like a pussycat.

Schumacher is great; I think Alonso has no such right to speak on person like schumi. I think Alonso should Apologize for that.

If you want to see how unsporting Schumacher was before and at Ferrari, just remember these races:
Adelaide 1994, Jerez 1997, Austria 2002, Monaco 2006.. and many more.

Well, I've never seen any other F1 driver deliberatly attempt to take out an opponent like Shumacher did to JV. The only other open wheel driver who sinks that low is Paul Tracy.

I think alonso is so "sporting" driver ....so sporting that the stewarts rewards him with 2 seconds penalty at Hungary for his famous hand gesture to doornboos....
come on guys....be fair....everybody has mistakes....
