Yes it can be taken during pregnancy, but it would be even better to take the seeds. You can get them ground and add them to smoothies and cereal and things. That way you get the oil and the fibre, not just the oil.
You might also want to take a high quality fish oil like Nutra-Sea, especially after your baby is born.

Any particular reason why you wanna take flax seed oil during pregnancy?

It is not recommended. They have done research on animals and it was proven to have harmful side effects...Plus, flaxseed may stimulate menstruation and have other hormonal effects that could be harmful to your pregnancy...
