Well, I reformatted not long ago because I thought my computer was due for one. Nothing has changed other than the fact that I deleted everything and started clean with the same Windows XP disk I've used twice already. It's just that, when I'm on the net, and I scroll down a page, it will refresh incredibley slow, top to bottom, instead of just simply scrolling. Programs dont seem to take any longer to start up, and I haven't noticed anything else acting up, but my browser is definitely slower. I've tried IE and Firefox, and they're both doing it.

Try installing the new service pack from Microsoft. You are probably using the service pack 1. Come next month, you will have to purchase the service pack 2 software, or download it at microsoft.com/downloads while it is still free. The cost to purchase such software is about 150 US dollars, so get on the ball and download it. Hope this works.
