Some woman have had success eliminating menstral cramps by supplementing their diets with Vit. B-6 on a daily basis...if you try this, make sure that you include a B-Complex tablet along with the B-6 because it is believed that by taking all the B's together, you will get better absorption.

What you need to do is go back to that doctor and ask them for more... assisstance. I mean if you're still doubled over on the floor and just on the pill for no good reason then that doctor hasn 't properly addressed the situation.
If your current doctor doesn't give you anything else or test you out for possible complications surrounding your period, you should seek a second opinion at another doctor. Now I hope by "doctor" you mean "Gynocologist." If you have not seen a Gynocologist, I would suggest you go to one immediately. Gynos focus specifically on the functions of the female reproductive system.
Good luck

yeah did he check you for endometriosis, or fibroids? not that you have it but better to be safe why you had such horrible cramps. some womens pain tolerance is low that could be your point. and then some women have bad cramps. i had a friend who was in the hosp every month when she was a teenager. and they told her she would never have kids cause it was too evasive for her and some other issue. well she has twins and a little girl now. but get a pap and check out your hormones

Sounds like your cramps may be structural in nature, not hormonal. If your pelvis becomes unbalanced it can cause serious cramping. One thing that helped me was a chiropractor who understood women's problems. Other things that could be causing it include cysts or endometriosis. Then again, it could be something as simple as making a few diet changes (avoid caffeine, drink more water, etc.)

Abnormal hormonal levels can cause this much pain during periods and also endometriosis, stress etc. You should get other tests done concerning this problem so as so to figure out what exactly is going on. I would suggest that you go to a good gynaecologist and get this sorted out.

If the cramps don't reoccur, it could have been from an ovarian cyst or cysts that are undercontrol with the pill.
If you want a diagnosis for why you were having increased cramps. go to your obgyn, as for an ultrasound
see if you have ovarian cysts, endometriosis, etc..

that's normal because i have that too. i wouldn't go on birthcontrol though because my mother had blood clots while on it, it's very unhealthy for you. you should look up a bunch of natural remedies for your period that really helps believe it or not and think about getting off the pill.
