Keep the job, but learn to take to heart the idea that your job is not your life. It took me counseling and medication to understand this concept, but it makes me very happy.
However, if the pay is bad, I'd look for something better.

I think the best way is to start a home business. This is something you can build to either supplement or replace your income all together. It would take your mind off of your troubles because you are building something for yourself. I think you might be surprised at how quickly this grows and then you would never have to work at another crappy job again!

No choice, really, can't run away... stay there until the contract expires or you'll be bound by breach...
Spend your rest day a really rest day...don't think about your job outside the office.
Do take your breaks and lunchbreak to its fullness, that should temporarily relieve you from stress while at work.
Soon enough, the contract will end...
Patience my dear...
You should have thought of it first before you signed the contract.

I used to be like that, You actually have to leave before you realise what a good job it was. You may never find work happiness until you are happy with your ownself. It's not about the money but it helps.

Is there another deparment you can switch to? I started getting really tired of my old department and couldn't take the management so i switched to our sales department. It was the best move I could have ever done.
Good Luck!

Think on other prospective, you are borne by the contract, likewise the company are borne by the contract too! Why don't you just shown up at work, give them your worst attitude on works....wait for them to ask you to leave.

One option would be to sub-contract the job.
