I have a suggested itinerary for everyone I talk to, here it is:

Pike Place Market:
http://www.pikeplacemarket.org/frameset....
~ I would recommend parking in their garage when you first visit the city. It's accessible from both the waterfront & 1st Ave, which makes it very convenient.
~ Pike's Market is a MUST-SEE. It's the oldest market in Seattle, has 3 or 4 levels of shops, restaurants, etc. Go on an empty stomach, because there are numerous food vendors and the food is delicious!!
~ Home to the very first Starbucks!

Pioneer Square/Underground Tour
http://www.pioneersquare.org/
http://www.undergroundtour.com/...
~You can walk down 1st avenue to Pioneer Square from the Market. Pioneer Square is where Seattle began! Lots of shops, restaurants, antiques.
~ Take the Underground Tour for sure! They take you under the city streets and teach you (in a very entertaining way) about the history of Seattle. It's at Doc Maynard's bar.

Ferry ride to Bremerton or Bainbridge:
http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/...
~ Walk to ferry dock from Pioneer Square. Catch a ferry by foot, bring your camera...it's a beautiful view of the city. Once across, you have to step off for a few minutes, then you can ride back.

Seattle Waterfront:
http://www.cityofseattle.net/tour/water....
~ From the ferry dock, you can stroll along the waterfront back to the parking garage. Waterfront is mostly shops and restaurants. My favorite is the "Ye Olde Curiosity Shop", which is also a museum of sorts.
~This is your best bet for halibut! Maybe check out The Fisherman's Restaurant that's in the Bay Pavillion.

If you have time:
Space Needle/Seattle Center:
http://www.spaceneedle.com
http://www.seattlecenter.com
~ Goes without saying that you have to see the Space Needle!! It's a Seattle landmark! You should check the calender on seattlecenter.com to see what else is going on there when you are there.

The underground tour is in Pioneer Square and leaves every couple hours during the day. Mapquest 1st Ave & Jackson, Seattle WA and you will be within one block. As for clubbing - Pheonix Underground, 1700 block of 1st Avenue. Just ask anyone when at Pioneer Square and they will direct you the 8 to 10 blocks south. There are also some clubs right their in the square but Pheonix is much better. Food - depends on your budget. Hot trendy spots but pricey - Wild Ginger, Metropolitan Grill, The Brooklyn on 2nd & University, FX McCrory's. FX's is a little cheaper and the chops are outstanding. Right near the convention center. If you want halibit or salmon, Ivar is on the water but one block up is Elliot's Pier 66 and it's better at the same price. It's on the water also 1 block north of the ferry. If your going to the Brooklyn have the chops also. They are a full pound and smothered in a blackberry house sauce to kill for. Most I've taken there remark they have the best chops they have ever had in their life. Everything mentioned above is inside one square mile, actually about 1/2 mile. Pike's Place Market - an open air market is kinda fun and funky the first time. Go watch them sling fish at the tourist. The international district is full of trendy shopping and is fun. Weather has been in the seventies but suppose to cool by 5 to 10 degrees. If your not used to Seattle weather, dress layered and you'll need a sweater in the eves. The ferry will be spectacular but expect some wind and it may be cool.

Pioneer Square is where the underground tour is... You can ask anyone downtown and they will tell you how to find it :) Definatly hit up Pike Place Market, the Seattle Art Museum, the international district is pretty cool also. Just walking around downtown is fun. It's been nice, but the weather is supposed to turn. Dress in layers :) And bring something warm for the ferry. no matter what time of year, it's cold on the water! There are great restaurants all over... Broadway (a street) has tons of really good places... Have fun!!!

They say seattle is rainy? We got less than 1/10 of an inch of rain ALL SUMMER! And forget the halibut, try some copper river salmon! And yes It will be chilly at night but we're more temperate than most of the rest of the country. AND soccrmum is right Pioneer square has nightclubs of ALL descriptions, you name it, we got it. Have fun!

The underground tour is of "old Seattle"
(Present day Seattle is built on top of old Seattle)
I am not sure if they still do this.(check online)
Go to the Pike Place Market
Have some halibut at "Ivers"
I am sorry I don't know about night clubs.

Have Fun!
