Great place to visit! I went there, but in October. Here is a web site that's a little difficult to navigate, but informational if you click around. Plus, here's the Average Tempuratures for January there.

January Average Temp High 86 degrees Fahrenheit, Low 68 degrees Fahrenheit. They suggest a light jacket for dinner on the beach. The restaurants on the beach are cozy, tasty, and mostly quiet...great atmosphere.

~*~ In Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, the month of January is hot. There aren't huracanes in that season. Think of it transitioning from Spring to Summer.. You should go to Taxco, Guerrero the silver is cheap and good quality. Also, in Iguala, Guerrero the gold is cheap. Goodluck.. Have fun.
