(besides history and cookie trails, -- or lack there of -- any other tell-tale signs to indicate activity without buying software?)

I'm planning to present a seminar to parents on monitoring their children's uses. (Sorry all who might be offended, but too many younger kids are at risk and too many parents are clueless.)

Yes, it is called watchdog ll. Rhombustecnologies offers it. It is suppose to be a good program, but it is rather difficult to use if you are not computer literate. It is a real cheap (inexpensive) software program. It is intended for use in the workplace, but it can be used to check on your kids computer habits as well. Just don't let them know that it's installed on your computer, or the program will render you no results, because they will be aware that you are monitoring them.
