I am 21 years old and have been on the pill for about 4 years with no problem. All of a sudden, I got my period twice in one month. It was within 2 weeks of my last period. I also had low back pain and was really tired. I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. After that, I got a yeast infection that wouldnt really go away and now its a month later and im 3 days late on my period and am having burning during sex. Whats wrong with me?

Sounds like you have a very bad yeast infection. If you got rid of it but your partner didn't get treated, you could have been reinfected.
You need to go to your doc ASAP and be tested for any infections and STD's.
Good luck to you.

Your body may be starting to reject the pills or your hormones may be screwed up causing the strange periods. Also, the yeast infection is probably not gone. I recently had one and it took 3 treatments and 2 weeks for it to go away. Also, take one zinc every day with food. Zinc will help to build your immune system up to fight the infection, this should help it go away much faster. You can try a pill that is available at your local Wal-Mart (or whatever store you use) called AZO Yeast. It would be with the other yeast infection meds. It might work better for you than the vaginal meds b/c it is a pill therefore not messy. But, I do agree with the others, if you possibly can you really do need to see a doctor!! It is possible that it is something worse, and you don't want to let it go. Good Luck!!!

Light bleeding after a regular period can happen during early pregnancy. Take EPT pregnancy test not generic. False negatives are common with off brand tests. If you have another negative result call your gyn for an exam. Also, You probably have a persistant yeast infection. Get monistat 7. If you are pregnant Monistat is safe to take. That is what my ob/gyn recommended to me.

Update 9/15/06 go to planned parenthood. They have nurse practitioners there to do exams and if the situation warrants a return visit they can have you meet with a qualified GYN.

Even though you have been taking the same oral contraceptives for 4 years you could still experience some spotting or breakthrough bleeding if you missed a pill and got off track. Your menstrual cycle may be late due any number of reasons including increased stress, dieting or even may be related to a possible infection. Vaginal itching, genital irritation, vaginal discharge that is malodorous or discolored (ie yellowish or greenish in color) may indicate a bacterial infection that would need to be treated with antibiotics. Even though you do not have a Gyn on campus you could still go to a Family practitioner or Internal medicine provider.
You should definitely see a provider and I would recommend avoiding intercourse until you are evaluated. Anyway if it hurts it is not much fun anyway.
Keep yourself clean and dry. You might try taking a tepid bath with white vinegar in your bath water. The vinegar helps to return things to normal ph. Eating yogurt with live cultures and drinking milk with acidophylis will help build up the normal flora in your vagina.

First off, I agree with the others, talk to your doctor. You could be experiencing what is called 'break through bleeding' which can occur with the low-dose or triphasic birth control pills, birth control shots (depoprovera) etc. Low dose pills should be taken at approximately the same time every day or break through bleeding and irregularity can be more of a problem and the pills won't be as effective. Yeast infection... burning? sounds like you still may have it or another type of infection. Only your doctor can diagnose you properly so don't wait.

Sounds like a bacterial infection.

Odds are it has nothing to do with your pills.

See your GYN

You have an unresolved infection.
Whether or not it is an STD in nature, is up to the OBGYN, and yourself to find out.
Go get yourself checked out, cultured, and treated.
