I own the Viva La Bam DVD's and none of them will play.

it used to what could be the problem?

We went through two PS2s for the same type of reason... ended up buying a DVD player and using the PS2 just for games.

Don't know what's wrong. Sign up for a PS3?

I had the same problem with mine. But after a few days it started working again. Take care that the DVDs don't have any scratches on them cos this causes the PS2 to act up.

Check for region coding on them, north american is region 1. Also as said some PS2s are Viva La Notworka

There were a lot of PS2's released (even the newer slimmer ones) that have a problem with DVD's. Mine wont play anything, not even games. You can probably send it into Sony and they can put a patch on your system, but sadly enough, I think that your system is shot in the category of playing DVD's.

Maybe you buyed the one that isnt formatted for you to watch a movie, you'll have to remodify it find the nearest sony center in your place may be they can fix it....
