A corn is a round, hard piece of skin. A bunion is more of a protruding bone at the side of your foot.

A corn is a form of callus, a protective layer of dead skin cells formed due to tight shoes rubbing on them.

A bunion is in the bone that joins the little toe to the foot.

Corns and bunions are two different things! Bunions are the result of the bones in your foot growing in diffferent directions. This you cannot control. It's usually brought on by the shoes you wear, forcing your feet into shoes that are pointy or heredity.
Corns are brought on by pressure points in your foot, where your feet don't normally absorp pressure. They are a build up of skin due to different types of shoes or an imbalence of the way your feet pronate or supronate. Your feet either go out, or they lean in when you stand. If you have a problem, you need to see a PODIATRIST, when your feet hurt, you hurt all over!!!
