Windows Live One Care by Microsoft. While free for a trial period it did do the trick for me. I had a nasty virus that sbc's spy ware, ad aware anti virus software detected it would not quarantine. I downloaded WLO and it immediately found it, Isolated it (would not allow it to open) was not able to quarantine it but did give me the complete file path to follow. It gave me the recommendation of getting to the file through search and manually deleting it. It also has the feature of a scheduled system scan and lets you know when you should back up important files. I would recommend it highly. I plan on purchasing the complete package when the free trial is up.

For a 1-2 punch, try Sybot and Ad-Aware, both free. They use different approaches, which makes them very efective together.
