You could still be experiencing some-after baby bleeding.

Your best bet is to give your OB a call as soon as possible during business hours. Why wait? Unfortunately, if you are pregnant and having a miscarriage, there would be nothing that could be done to stop it at this point.

My miscarriage... I knew for sure that I was pregnant (I'd had a blood test confirm it). I started spotting on a Sunday night. I called my OB and was told that at that point in the pregnancy (8 weeks) if it was a miscarriage, there would be nothing that could have been done to stop it. The next day I went in to the doctor's and, through an exam, an ultrasound and a blood test, it was confirmed that I was losing the baby. By the time we'd gotten back from the doctor's I was bleeding heavily. The baby passed from me that night. I had one more ultrasound and two more blood tests, but all they did was confirm what I already knew... that I had lost the baby.

Personally, it doesn't sound like you're having a miscarriage. It sounds like your body is getting itself back together after having a baby. My periods started getting very heavy after my daughter was born this year. It happens. I think you're going to be fine.

Good luck.

When I had a miscarriage I started cramping for 1 day. Then I started spotting a very little bit the next day and continued cramping harder and harder. That night I started bleeding heavily and when I went to the bathroom and wiped I noticed a small white grape looking thing. I put it in a container and went to the er. They tested it and comfirmed it was a miscarriage and what I brought in were the products of conception. I was 10 weeks along. It will depend on how far you are.... if you are very early in the pregnancy it may just look like a bunch of blood clots. Save whatever comes out and take it to the hospital with you. That is what my doctor told me to do. Call your dr immediately or go to the er. I am sorry you have to ask this. Good luck hun.

If you are experiencing any type of pain, bleeding, or unusual discharge contact your 24 hour nurse through you doctors office, do not wait until they are open, it could be a matter of life and death for your baby or even yourself. I am not trying to scare you, it is just the facts. I went through this twice and the first time I had wrote it off as "body changes". I wound up in a 9 day coma after an emergency D&C. (I had a molar pregnancy with hemmoraging). Take nothing for granted.

I had a miscarriage and had no cramping but some heavy bleeding with clots. If you are bleeding and you know for sure that your pregnant, please go to your Dr. or local emergency room. they can determine if you have miscarried or not. You may also need an D&C once again depending on how far along you are.
Good Luck!

Depending on how far along you are. If more than a few weeks, there will be a very nasty looking discharge. Its very difficult to tell before it happens. Speak with your doctor for more advice.
