I heard these two kids I know talking about 9/11 and how they didn't really know what the World Trade Center was when it was attacked. These are the same gullible kids who eat up all the conspiracy crap thrown around over the internet by sites like loosechange.

I know not every 18 year old is ignorant of the facts, but it scares me to think that some of them are clueless. I guess it is a good thing that their demographic traditionally has never had a good turn out at the polls.

Funny...I think every generation asks this about the generation behind them.

Time flies doesn't it? My son was an 8 year old elementary school student when it happened. He is now in the 8th grade! A lot of people never knew what actually went on at the WTC before 9/11. They just knew they were the tallest building in the world. Everyone knew what the buildings were, but didn't quite understand how important they were until 9/11. No matter where you go or what you do, you are going to run into all kinds of people who don't have a clue about that or anything else politically. A lot of the kids that age that do vote, vote what there friends are going to vote and don't even have the knowledge to make an educated vote. Or as a lot of people say they don't even vote there conscience.

I have to admit that at the time I had no idea what the World Trade Center was, in fact, I had never heard of it. I am 19 years old now and I know a lot more about it than I did five years ago. I also know that not every teenager or other person now able to vote believes the conspiracy idea. I thought just the mere thought of it was ludicrous, so take a deep breath and relax. At least we aren't the ones who voted Clinton into office twice.

It's scary that so many people are sooo clues about what goes on in our own country. All I can say is that hopefully most of them won't even vote.

And P.S. knowing what goes on in our country has everything to do with voting. 9/11 was a recent event that has majorly effect our country, and if people don't understand what happen that day, then how in the world can they give an educated vote?

Well look what those who do understand what happened on 9/11 voted for ------ TWICE. The younger crowd can't do any worse.

Just how many people of that age in that era knew of Vietnam? How many knew of Pearl Harbor? The answer is not many.
