I'm a smart person, generally well disceplined. Why can I just not bring myself to do that menial work that we all have to do sometimes. After all, I'm on Yahoo! Answers rather than doing what I'm supposed to be doing.

Any suggestions?

been there done that. i feel your pain. :( what i found to somewhat helpful is to break projects down into chunks. also, do all the small stuff first. get rid of it fast so you don't have to worry about it. that way, it seems like you've done more and is somewhat of a motivation. if you have a friend who does the same thing, tell him or her about it and keep each other on track good luck! :)

Haha same here. I've still got stats HW to do and it's 10:47pm. It's hard to stop procrastinating because there can be so many distractions. The best thing for me if I REALLY want something done soon is to elimintate all distractions. I turn off the tv, the computer and the music. I also clear other things that can distract me like books and magazines and just work on what I need to do. Speaking of work, i should probably get to work now.

Same here ever since I participated in Yahoo! Answers. I commence my work when it's about late but at least I'm able to finish my work on time.

We simply have all the time to lag... therefore, procrastination comes in. Sometimes, we're rather worried to get bored so we do other things than our work. But we race with time when we realize that our work is about due. Ain't that challenging? Interesting even? I like it!

Because for some reason we keep putting off the time to stop procrastinating.

It is taking responsibility as a mature adult and that means to monitor your time.

You have control over your actions and choices. Simply do what you need to do and then reward yourself with other things, like being on Yahoo!
