If I "see" a Pizza Hut worker Yell at my child? Where is my child that I have to "see" this rather than hear it?
Depends on the manner and reason in which it was done. Was my child in harms way? Causing a disturbance to others due MY lack of supervision? Out of MY distance, and not near me?
If NOT? Then that Pizza Hut employee would first get a good taste of my parental wrath! The manager would be called over ASAP.
A long chat with the manager would offer my "child" and my family an apology. Our meal would be FREE, I guarantee you that!
A letter to Corporate would be written. A formal apology to my family would be required. Thus I would expect some enclosure of a free meal in the future.
In general, if the child is in the presence of their parent? There is absolutely no tolerance to an employee to correct a child in any manner!

Speak to the manager. I wouldn't let a pizza hut employee shout at me or at my partner, so I certainly wouldn't let them shout at my child.
At the same time, you need to think whether you saw the entire situation. If your child, while you couldn't see, kept kicking that pizza hut employee in the shins for example, I could understand why they'd get a bit frustrated and shout. Better to shout than slap, no?
But of course, if they just shouted at your child because they were having a bad day, that's not fair and it's not right.
I'd talk to the manager, explain you're unhappy and see what they can do.

Read the employee's name tag and Go straight to the manager, Unless of course your children were being EXTRAORDINARILY MISBEHAVED which really is no excuse for an employee to say anything to the child anyway, In such a circumstance they should have asked where the parent (you) were sitting and approached you about the matter - On the other hand, If your children were being unbearably horrible, I'd leave it alone, We all have bad days at work, Maybe this particular employee acted without thinking and would probably be fired for his/her actions.

I would be pretty upset. I would get the manager. Then I would contact the corporate office. Id make sure to make that person's life miserable at work.
But if my child was doing something really bad, and I didn't see it I may not be so mad.
Some parents let there kids do what ever they want. It disrupts other customers and makes it difficult to work.

Tell the manager ... get the worker's name if you can. Write a letter to the company, and be sure to include the worker's name and a description of what happenned and how it offended you. Even if you can't get the worker's name still write the letter as they will at least give you coupons for free meals -- and it's the least they should do.

Don't add fuel to the fire by yelling at the employee, it would just make matters worse and an even bigger embarassing scene. The best thing to do is to contact the manager afterward and calmly tell him or her what had happened and you're concerned be the way this employee has treated your child.
