My friend recently got employeed at a grocery store, and he said his job is to "Face the Store". What does this mean?

Facing means that you are pulling all items to the front of the shelf, usually after you have down stocked and brought out any new items. You are also bring the product up to the shelf lip and making it even all of the way down, so that it looks fully stocked. This gives the customer the impression that the item is available and they are able to conveniently reach it.

To make sure the label is facing outward so it is easier for the customers to read. You also have to fill the shelves, and pull the product forward.

I work in retail and this is one of my daily tasks. Basically it just means straightening, pulling items to the front of the shelf to make it look full and even.
