Yes, they will look much worse! Your stretch marks will not tan, but your skin will, so they'll look noticeably lighter, than the rest of your skin. Better to stay away from the tanning bed.

actually if you get tanned the strech marks will stand out more and will not tan. Coco butter has always been the most popular to get ride of them or there is all the over the counter strch mark or scar removers. I would try something like that first to shrink the skin some before you tan or you might turn out having white line across your tummy

They will still be noticeable, the skin tans differently and is lighter in the stretch mark area. But it it makes you feel less self concious go and give it a try. You won't hurt anything.
Good luck.

I don't know about the tanning bed, but I know for a fact that cocoa butter helps! You'll want to wear an old nightgown, or old pj's, because it's kinda greasy. But it absorbs into your skin and makes stretch marks disappear! Congrats on the baby!

Yes, if the stretch marks are dark, and you tan dark you will "match" them more. If they have faded white, and no longer have pigment (as all stretch marks eventually do) then tanning will make them stand out.

Don't go to the tanning bed that will make your strech marks stand out even more.

Don't go! It will make them stand out even more, because the skin won't tan there. I have them too, and Cocoa butter did nothing for me. Everyone I've asked has just told me they will fade with time, and they have started too. They were dark purple right after I gave birth, and now they're pink. Good luck!

When you go to the tanning bed they actually get darker, but not as ugly looking. However, if you don't tan it will be twice as bad and it will be more noticeable.

They usually fade with time. Tanning beds are the same as sunburns. I would recommend looking for a better solution.
