I have had this problem quite a few times. All of a sudden some of my female friends start creating physical contact randomly. I've been good friends with them, but all of a sudden there is another dimension to the friendship, and it gets awkward a lotta times. I need some advice on what to do?

in your case, it seems to be the other way round !
why don't you select your friends more scruplously ? ther may be some cheap girls, who are interested in only temporary pleasures, and relationships. if you are a serious type, you should evaluate a girl, before getting more friendly. may be they are getting wrong signals ?
if you don't approve, don't give in, just decline politely. actually, what do you mean by physical contact? are they demanding sex ? may be they want to get some material benefits in exchange ?
be careful with such girls, they might spoil your reputation. decide, so far, and no more. puppy lovr is also not recommended, what's the point ? physical contact should be natural, friendly, devoid of any purposeful advances.
if you are in a group, this won't happen. if you are with them singally, that's possible. so the choice is yours !

Maybe there is just a misunderstanding between them. If ever one of your friend asks for an advice, tell them to have it in a nice way. Because they can talk to each other when both of them cools down their temper. Aside from that, I found that some girls today, take only physical contact as a joke. But when it becomes serious, just do what I've said awhile ago.

when i talk to my male friends, i make physical contact BUT its never sexual though. its just like a touch on the hand, or the shoulder or you know things like that.

tell them you like them but not in that way. and if they don't like it then they really shouldn't be your friend. also tell them you are not ready for that kind of Friendly contact...
