Why is it important for top management to ensure that an organizations culture supports ethical conduct and social responsibility?

Because if it didn't there would be chaos. Chaos does not produce good relations in the workplace or a good end product to consumers.

what makes you think that is what is happening. what really happens is management does what is necessary to stay out of trouble. very little is done because it is the right thing to do
