Styrofoam cups seem to hold heat better than metal or wood but I think ceramics are very good insulators.

I have a stainless steel flask and it keeps my tea hot all day even though some tea has been taken out, I have always found the normal vacuum flask wouldn't keep tea or any thing else warm for any length of time once I had taken a cup or two out
So try a stainless steel flask brilliant if you are going for a days fishing whether its sunny or snowing it will keep tea hot till the last cup. Wine fly

You don't want to keep the tea hot all day - it would stew. You keep the water hot in the flask, and take a couple of teabags, so every cup is freshly brewed. Can't beat a freshly brewed cuppa. Remember to warm the flask first, then empty out and put the boiling in, for maximum heat retention.

I use an arcosteel thermos for taking coffee to work--stays hot all day as long as I remember to fill it with boiling water & let it sit with the lid on for 5- 10 minutes, dump it out then fill it with coffee before I go to work, : )
