No, it's ghetto to shoplift from a thrift store

Not at all. I think it's smart. We've got an 8 month old and new clothes for her could cost an arm and a leg! It seems like every time we turn around, she's gotten bigger, Going to the thrift store means we save a little money and we have more of a variety of clothes to choose from.

I love love love thrift stores. I go "Good Will" hunting all the time. I love to get unopened puzzles for 50 cents. My sister found a china cabinet that was in great shape for only 45.00. I call it smart shopping.

There are many people who cannot afford to buy things new for themselves or their children. Although they are very poor, they manage to find clean and tasteful items for their kids to go to school. They are poor. Is poor GHETTO ? Many would say yes, but I disagree. POOR is about circumstance and lack of choice. As for the doing it for fun question….well many do have ‘choices.’ I’d say they are not ghetto, just a lot luckier than those who must shop in such places.

No, I think it is smart - particularly when you are young and if you go to the thrift shops near the colleges (for clothes) or near upscale neighborhoods (for furniture or appliances). You would be amazed at what people will donate.

Peace!

No, I have more money than I need... When my kids were in different size cloths every 3 to 4 months... Thats where we got most of them.... It's not ghetto, it's realistic!

Most certainly not. Some of my most complimentary clothing have come from second hand stores. Now, I would recommend that you keep that shopping within the perimeters of outerwear and buy underwear brand new.
