Uncheck the box next to "Automatically reduce the brightness of the display before display sleep"
Make sure you're under the correct settings for Battery or Power Adapter (top pull-down) and you can select different settings for the two of them.
I have mine set to dim for battery, but not for plug-in, but it doesn't seem to work all the time (it will still dim using power adapter).
