Ok, it started off about 4 days ago. I noticed some slight pressure when I would pee, thought no big deal... it wasnt that noticable. Then two days ago, it started to burn at the end of urination. I figured it was just a UTI, ive had them before in the past (twice in the past 10 yrs). Well, i started drinking lots of water and cranberry juice. My mom said she always did this and usually can get rid of the UTI herself. Well, I started doing that, and figured if it got worse, I would go to the doc. Well, today it started to feel better, and the pain while urination subsided. Well, now I have alot of pain in my lower abdoman, right along the sinde of my hips, on both sides but not in the middle. Its not like menstraul cramps ive ever had (although i could start my period soon) but is extremely painful. Could it be related to the UTI? Anyone have this happen to them?

Well, ive been with the same partner for the past 5 years. I honestly 100% dont think he would cheat on me, so there is no way I would have an STD. Im not pregnant, Ive been pregnant (have a 2 1/2 yr old) and it wasnt like that, although I did take 2 pregnancy tests just to be sure (wanted to rule everything out). Today, the pain is gone, no painful urination, but mild cramping here and there. I guess the cramping could be my period, but i really dont think it is.

Sounds like you need to go into the doctor. If it is a UTI and left untreated you could end up spending a few days in the hospital due to a kidney infection. Doctor now!

Check out www.webmd.com. They have a great symptem checker on their site. On the webmd home page, on the right hand side, there is a picture of a person, and it says male and female at the top. Click on female, and then click on the part of your body that is bothering you. Select your problem, and you should get some good advice on whether it warrants going to the doctor or what you can do at home.

The pain is called hypogastric and could be anywhere in the region below the navel. Only a physical examination consducted by a doctor will be most helpful for you. Go see one ASAP.

My pain started in my back. Had the painful urination too. Woke up in the middle of the night, and it felt like somebody did a knee drop on the small of my back. KIDNEY STONES!!!

Female friends of mine who have had children and kidney stones said they'd rather have another kid.

Go to a clinic while you still can. My stones doubled me over in pain.

Sounds like, and I'm not a doctor, a kidney or urinary infection. Get that checked. You might need ampicillin. You can't let that go unchecked. Go to your doctor as soon as possible okay??? God Bless.

I'm a nursing student and either it can be a UTI or if you are sexually active (not to scare you), it can be an STD. My advice would be to go to the doctor to get an accurate diagnosis.

Sounds like the symptoms of a kidney infection. You need to see a doctor.

You probably have a bladder or kidney infection or stones. In any case you need to see your Dr soon.

Yes, it could be related. You have 2 ureters leading from the bladder to the kidneys. They could be infected along with your kidneys. Please go to the doctor. Good luck!
